We Ask Folks in Saudi Arabia: What Makes You Happy?

In a testament to the photographic style of Humans of New York’s Brandon Stanton, who popularized street photography with a personalized touch, we took to the streets of Saudi Arabia. Our photographer Mohammad Alfaraj asked people one question: “What makes you happy?”

Simple enough, the question has the ability to open people up to a variety of feelings, stories and emotions. These heartwarming images show us at the end of the day, each individual contains a set of experiences, things to cherish, and people to love, reminding us that we really aren’t that different, after all.
