Vyu is a social TV app that collects all content related to TV shows, like news, gossip and social media posts, and allows users to find and share this information. Even though the Middle East has one of the highest internet engagement rates in the world, there isn’t a lot of quality digital content available in the region dedicated to television shows. Vyu simplifies the process of finding this information, and allows Middle Eastern viewers to talk about their favorite shows from their smartphones, which is a huge plus.

Ahmed Nassef was previously head of Arabic web portal Maktoob, as well as the MENA region’s managing director of Yahoo! The app will be written in Arabic, and will be available on iOS and Android systems, and is expected to be launched in the next several months, in the US and the Middle East at the same time.
