Calling All Hackers: International Center Based in UAE Promotes Peace Through Creativity, Technology, and Innovation

Passionate about technology, programming and software development? Have ideas for practical solutions to current global issues? Ever wanted to participate in a Hackathon? Put your knowledge into action by joining the Hedayah Hackathon! The Hedayah Center is now accepting applicants to join the world’s first ever CVE Hackathon taking place in Abu Dhabi from December 9-11.

What is a Hackathon?

A hackathon is an event in which computer programmers, software developers, coders, and graphic designers gather over the course of several hours or days to collaborate intensively to build new, innovative programs.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, will be to collaborate with a team of passionate experts to design prototype technology solutions in a 48 hour race against the clock. At a gala event, teams will pitch their prototypes to a cross-sector panel of judges, the audience, and online crowds.

Apply now for the opportunity to join over 20 developers who will compete for prizes in developing a software application or platform designed to catalyze realistic solutions to tackling violent extremism.

The Hackathon is a featured event at Hedayah’s first expo on promoting peace in the region, and the teams will have opportunities to engage experts, government officials, technology companies, and community leaders from all around the world
