Here’s Why the Next Google is Probably in Palestine

This year, two Palestinian startups accelerated by Arabreneur will be selected to join The Web Summit, and showcase Palestinian innovation and talent in this world-class event which some call “the best technology conference on the planet”.

The event, which started today in Dublin, Ireland, will count with entrepreneurial stars AidBits, a growing Palestinian startup which is improving the efficiency of NGOs in 10 different counties across the MENA region, and EduNation, a social platform for learning and sharing knowledge that has garnered over 65,000 subscribers and operates in six international countries to serve more than 100 schools.

The companies will be pitching their innovations in a battle to be crowned 2014’s best startup, presenting their ideas in front of hundreds of the world’s leading investors and the world’s leading media, who are on the outlook for “the next Google and the next Facebook“, as Niklas Zennström, founder of Skype and Atomico puts it.
