Calling for the Brightest Minds in Cairo and Amman: The Maker Hackathon Takes Over the Middle East

The first hardware movement born in the Arab World, the Maker Hackathon was launched by the Middle East’s leading crowdfunding platform Zoomaal, aiming to travel across the world to connect the brightest young minds for innovation and hardware development.

The competition, which runs for three days, will kick off on February 5 in Cairo, Egypt and move on to Amman, Jordan, on February 19. Participants will be divided into teams of four to five people, each applying their skills in disciplines such as software and hardware development, business ideas, and product design to develop a hardware prototype.

Winners of the best prototypes will be awarded valuable prizes from Zoomaal and sponsors, as well as get support to turn their ideas and prototypes into reality through crowdfunding campaigns.
