Ashoka Elects a New Game Changer: A Social Entrepreneur in Egypt

Ashoka Arab World (AAW), launched in 2003, is the regional branch of Ashoka: Innovators for the Public. Since its inception, AAW has identified and elected more than 80 of the region’s leading social entrepreneurs in 10 Arab countries. The social entrepreneurs Ashoka elects become Ashoka Fellows for life.

Ashoka Arab World, the platform for social entrepreneurship and innovation in the Arab world, is proud to announce the election of a new social entrepreneur into its Fellowship program: Adam Molyneux Berry from Egypt. Adam’s work empowers Egyptian communities, allowing them to transition into self-reliant and resilient bodies, independent of subsidies and grants, through the creation of innovation hubs that transform sustainability issues into environmental solutions.

With a strong belief in Adam’s system-changing idea, and confidence in the positive impact it has had, and will continue to have, on society, Ashoka will be providing Adam with a range of tailored services, supporting him in his efforts to scale up the impact of his work, and helping him develop his idea further. Ashoka’s global community includes more than 2500 social entrepreneurs, similar to Adam, from all over the world.

Since its founding more than 30 years ago, Ashoka has supported nearly 3,000 leading social entrepreneurs – elected as Ashoka Fellows – in 70+ countries.
