BETA

BETA (Beirut for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) is located in Monte Verde in Lebanon, and provides these animals with views of lush green valleys and majestic mountains.

Housing up to 280 lost and abandoned dogs, BETA’s shelters only provide for a capacity of 200 dogs.Though some of these dogs were abused or abandoned by previous owners, they have not given up on the dream of being loved by a new owner.

All dogs are available for adoption, pending of course a screening process by BETA staff in order to ensure that the dogs will be provided with the best care.

BETA often holds various events to benefit the dogs of BETA by providing them with food, shelter, medical treatment, and worker salary.Events in the past include karaoke night at pubs in Gemmayze, booths at various festivals, shows, and the Sunday Flea Market, and their annual dog show held at the Hippodrome.
