Biking to Help Gaza’s Kids

Cycling4Gaza (C4G) started as just four cyclists using their passion to raise money to help injured Palestinians after the 2009 war on Gaza. Five years later, the group has grown to include dozens of cyclists from all over the world, hosting yearly distance rides to fund raise for charities with real results.

C4G will hold its fifth cycling fundraiser September 19 to 21 in Germany. The cause? They’ve partnered with the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund REACH GazaReaching Every Affected Child (REACH) in Gaza works to strengthen an underdeveloped health care system, particularly in terms of providing surgery to kids in need.

“Due to the large nature of the project, Cycling4Gaza will initially be funding treatment through visiting international missions, sending children abroad for treatment and obtaining medical supplies and equipment for hospitals in Gaza,” says C4G’s statement for this year’s ride.

Some 45 C4G cyclists will set out from Hamburg, Germany on September 19 and bike 373km to Berlin by September 21.
