Displaying his pride in all his people, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs, and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC), honored special needs students along with other top-scoring pupils in a ceremony celebrating academic excellence for grade 12.

Besides congratulating students who achieved at least 98 percent, special needs students who scored at least 95 percent were also praised. Including them in the spotlight demonstrates the state’s intention to push special needs students both to do their best in their studies and to play active roles in their society.

This is consistent with the UAE’s goal of guaranteeing that special needs citizens can flourish as active individuals. To empower them on educational, economic, social, and cultural levels, the UAE has constructed many centers and clubs that provide educational, rehabilitative, and therapeutic services using the best international practices adopted in the care and rehabilitation field.
