The Freedom Theatre is a creative artistic community in Jenin,  the northern part of the West Bank. It  aims to empower the youth and women in the community. The theater explores the potential of arts as a stepping point for social change in the region.

The goals of the Freedom Theatre are to raise the quality of performing arts in the region while offering a space for children to act, create, and freely express themselves. They also aim to create positive changes in their community and break cultural separation from the rest of Palestine.

The Freedom Theatre hold drama workshops to train the youth, and they have an acting school which was established in 2008. The Freedom Theatre has recently created several theater training programs that are based within a framework of critical pedagogy and provide applied theater methods like: Theater of the Oppressed, Playback Theater, Drama Therapy, Psychodrama, Therapeutic Spiral Model, Drama in Education and Sociodrama.

The theater stages various productions and hosts theater, music, dance, and circus performances by other groups from Palestine and other countries. Most of the staff is from the Jenin community, but there are some international staff and volunteers on a short or long term basis.
