Longest Mural in the Middle East

Once a little boy of an artistic family with sculpting as a hobby, became the person behind the longest mural in the Middle East, extending over 260 meters. Khaleel Abuhaltam “applied a special technique”, sculpting a mural from cement as opposed to painting it, to last longer in harsh local climates. It took him three months to complete.

The mural, located at the Jordan Directorate of Arts and Theater and supported by the Ministry of Culture, “includes many symbols from Panorama Jordan and its long history of civilizations such as the Nabataeans, Romans and other religious history.” says Abuhaltam. “It also includes the different Gods relevant to Greek theater such as Zeus, Athena, and Venus,” he adds, in addition to other concepts linked to abstract art and love of theater. Abuhaltam is working on a new project, a Trojan horse 22 meters high, made from recycled car wheels. A good Trojan horse we’re sure, and not the same one from the Greek epic!
