Husband and wife Kemsley Dickinson and Tiffany Schultz – co-founders of Drama Dubai – were brought together by the magic of theatre, and are giving back to theatre, by introducing “a small, quirky, contemporary and rustic art space” to nurture local talent, known as The Courtyard Playhouse.
This unique grassroots venue hopes to become a haven for “acting, improv, comedy, poetry and photography workshops,” intended to serve the “community of art and theatre-lovers in Dubai,” shares Schultz.
Struggling to find a performance space that was affordable for their workshops, and after a long search for an alternative, they “found the Courtyard and fell in love,’ she adds, turning an initially partitioned office into a venue of beauty.
