Raising Powerful Voices for the Vulnerable

November 3rd marked the final concert in the 12-city tour “Sounds of Light 2013 organized by Manchester-based charity Human Appeal to benefit Syrians in need. Featuring Maher Zain, the show closed in London after criss-crossing the UK and Ireland as the largest charity concert series there to date. Proceeds will pay for sending food baskets, medical aid and shelter to Syrians inside Syria and in camps in Jordan and Lebanon.

This latest campaign is but one of HA’s initiatives to support victims of conflict. It has already set up field hospitals and mobile clinics across the region and provided fuel, water and medical equipment to two large hospitals in Homs. It also equipped another hospital ward in Tripoli, Lebanon, to work specifically with Syrians.

In Jordan, HA has constructed 40 solid housing units, complete with electric units and insulation, to shelter families in Zaatari Refugee Camp, and provided sponsorships for over 250 orphaned Syrians both in and outside Syria.
