2 Events Entrepreneurs Should Not Miss This November

It seems November is the month for entrepreneurs in Cairo, as two exciting startup events put up an action-marathon in the Arab world’s largest city.

Cairo Innovates, set to take off on November 19 at Cairo’s The Greek Campus, is the 1st Cairo International Exhibition on Innovation. Organized by the Academy of Scientific Research & Technology (ASRT) and Nahdet El Mahrousa, the event is part of the annual Global Entrepreneurship Week, putting the spotlight on innovation as a means of increasing the country’s productivity and combatting poverty.

The first event that gathers innovators and entrepreneurs with investors, banks, civil society representatives, and media under one roof, Cairo Innovates aims to create enthusiasm around scientific innovation. The two-day event will include workshops, panel sessions, competitions, and inspiring stories of rising talents, concluding with an exhibition on latest inventions and innovations.

On November 20, just as Cairo innovates ends, Egypt’s Startup Weekend Giza Edition takes off, beginning with Thursday night pitches and brainstorming sessions, business plan development, and basic prototype creation.

The event, which will continue through November 22, will allow rising entrepreneurs to create working startups during the event and collaborate with like-minded individuals outside their daily networks. The weekend will be centered around action, innovation, and education.
