Tour Iran Through Everyday Iran’s Colorful Instagram

For those of us who have yet to visit Iran, it seems like a far away place filled with mystery, intricate handwoven carpets and endless tulip-shaped glasses of sugary tea. Everyday Iran shares a more intimate, personalized version of the country through socially published photos sent in or tagged by followers. Inspired by Everyday Africa, the account’s mission is to share a view of the day-to-day lives of Iranian people breaking stereotypes of both Iranians and the Middle East as a whole. Curated by five professional Iranian photographers, Ramin Talaie, Mohammad and Ali Tajik, Hossein Fatemi and Ali Kaveh, the account shares a real version of a country that has remained a mystery to many outsiders. To share your photos and be featured on the Everyday Iran page, tag #EverydayIran and make sure to write a caption.
