How This Woman Captured Peace Among Cairo’s Madness in Less than 3 Minutes

Cairo’s Soul is a 2.30 minute video that magically captures peace among Cairo’s hustle and bustle. Produced by Nermin Habib to the sound of Egyptian Project’s “Ya Amar”, the video creates imaginary pauses throughout the frenzied Egyptian routine, to find delicious moments of calmness.

“Cairo’s soul has a flavour, warmth and a rhythm that captivates people who experience it. I wanted to capture a glimpse of it by visually interpreting a calmness in all the noise, spritiuality in humbleness, beauty where it is least expected and pride in the strength and resilience that the people carry within them,” says Habib.
