Someone Just Found the Causeway for the Great Pyramid of Egypt. But You Will Not Believe Who

It was not an archeologist, nor one of the dozen foreign missions that have attempted to find it for the past three decades: the causeway for the Great Pyramid of Khufu in Giza was found unexpectedly by a local resident.

According to El Ahram, a resident of El Haraneya village in Giza began digging beneath his house to a depth of about 10 meters when he discovered a tunnel made up of huge stone blocks that led to the largest of the three pyramids in Giza, also known as Cheops.

The Khufu pyramid complex consisted of a Valley Temple near the Nile River, which used to be connected to a long causeway that led to the Temple of Khufu, which in turn was connected to the pyramid, explains Ancient Origins. Until now, only a few remnants of the causeway, such as a covered road, have been found.
