The Arab World’s First Gamified Crowdfunding Platform Promises to Make Helping Fun

Tennra's campaign at Egypt's Rise Up Summit 2014

Guided by the idea that the process of supporting a project should be as inspiring as the project itself, Egypt’s brand new gamified crowdfunding platform Tennra allows users to play and, while ding so, pledge money to support a project.

As gamified crowdfunding is set to be “2015’s big thing”, Tennra’s promise is to raise the profile of startups in the Middle East, increasing each project’s likelihood to reach their goal and granting players with T-Rewards from its T-Store. As for the entrepreneurs pitching their projects, the cost of using the platform is 7% of the total raised, once they reach their goal.

One of the first projects featured is Rafeya, a fashion online business created by a passionate entrepreneur who combined her passion with social commitment. “Rafeya’s crowdfunding campaign will be an excellent opportunity to show how these products are produced by women from Talbeya and are still fashionable and in good quality. This is my way of empowering more women,” she says.
