A Partnership That Bridges the Gap for Entrepreneurs in the Arab World

TechWadi has long been dedicated to providing entrepreneurs and start-ups from the Middle East a platform for innovation, growth and expansion. Now, exciting moves on are on the horizon as they team up with Google, solidifying a collaborative effort to support the MENA entrepreneurial ecosystem. The two power houses make for an ideal partnership, as Google is known as the ultimate hub of innovation and TechWadi has the span of connections to myriad entrepreneurs with ideas that just may change the world.

At a recent panel event, hosted by Google, some of the brightest minds from the MENA region came together to discuss the burgeoning entrepreneur scene in the Arab World. The panel included Mo Gawdat, the Vice President of Business Innovation at Google X, Rana El Kaliouby, the co-founder and CSO of Affectiva, Hala Fadel, the woman behind the $75 million Leap VC fund, and Sharif Badawi, the Partner Lead of VCs and Startups at Google. The group discussed some of the exciting things blossoming in the world of entrepreneurship, as well as some of the challenges that face the region. With a plethora of inventive accelerators and incubators developing in the region, more corporates, investors, governments and startups are looking to the Silicon Valley in California for guidance and innovation. TechWadi plans to bridge that gap, connecting the thinking minds to the accelerators that will get them off the ground.
