1st Jordanian Sarah Abu Sabbah to Sign for Bayer Leverkusen Team

It takes a lot of hard work and talent to be good enough to sign for a German team, let alone the Bayer Leverkusen’s Senior Team. Sarah Abu Sabbah has officially become the first Jordanian to ever sign for this team. Sara scored this goal after a very successful season with Leverkusen’s U17 Team. She managed to score 13 goals in 10 matches, pushing the team from 9th place to 4th!

Not only did she do that, she also majorly helped the team win the Juniors German Cup after beating title holders for the past 3 years FC Köln in the final, scoring 2 goals and assisting 3 goals in the semi final as well. Sarah is also the first Jordanian player to ever play in the Allianz German Bundesliga.

The team honored her by gifting her with a framed jersey of her Bayer Leverkusen kit with the U17 team for her contribution in the past season. Sarah is very honored to be a part of this team. She gave a statement to the official Jordan Football Association saying that,

“I’m very proud to sign with Bayer Leverkusen’s seniors team. It was the right decision for me to join the club last season and I enjoyed a very successful first season with the team as we managed to climb together from the ninth to the fourth place in the league standings, and we ended FC Köln’s dominance in the previous 3 seasons and snatched the Juniors German Cup title from them.”

The star of  the Jordan U17 Women’s National Team is another inspiration for all Arab girls who aspire to succeed in the world of sports.

Don’t forget to leave a smile 🙂
