The Sheik Mohammed Center for Cultural Understanding is a non-profit organization that increases awareness and understanding of the many different cultures that live in Dubai, removing barriers between people of different nationalities and raising awareness of the UAE’s local culture, customers and religion. With a country that many nationalities from across the globe call home, each having their own distinctive culture. Expats and Emiratis, even though they live so close to each other, can still be considered strangers, and the Sheik Mohammed Center for Cultural Understanding is there to educate expats on the traditions and customs of the UAE. This center bridges the gap of the many nationalities who live together in one of the most cosmopolitan countries in the world through a number of its award-winning programs and activities – some of which include Heritage Tours, Cultural Meals, Creekside Tours, Jumeirah Mosque Visit, Arabic Classes, and more.

Located near the Dubai Creek Park, the Children’s City is an educational wonderland for children between the ages of 2 and 15. The first educational city in the UAE specifically for this age group, the city allows children to play, investigate, learn and explore everything about the world we live in. Including a number of exhibits and programs that explore everything from anatomy to astronomy, making the entire learning process fun and attractive. What’s more, the environment allows children to learn together and interact with each other or with their families. There are a number of chances for them to attend educational workshops that are held throughout the year in the various galleries – of which include Space Explorations, The Way We Live, Global Exhibition Section, Earth Science Gallery, Nature Center, Human Body, and many more – located throughout the park. Additionally, Children’s City boasts a planetarium too.
Enjoy a fun and educational day out with your kids at one of the above mentioned attractions that will undoubtedly teach you something new.
