Gigi Hadid Expresses her Culture on the Cover of Vogue Arabia

Many celebrities express their cultural diversity through several different aspects, mainly through their work. Gigi Hadid made accountable her cultural variance by being on the cover of the first-ever Vogue Arabia , wearing a hijab. Talk about cultural and proud! She focused mainly on the fashion industry but made her way through a global generalization of international connections.

Gigis’ Post

I’m sure you’ve all heard of one of Gigis’ recent post. Proudly stating on her Instagram post,

“Being half-Palestinian, it means the world to me to be on the first-ever cover of Vogue Arabia.”

Also, she solemnly connected cultural differences to the industry saying,

“I think the beautiful thing about there being international Vogue’s is that, as a fashion community, we are able to celebrate and share with the world, different cultures.”

Hadid’s declaration of her Palestinian culture and heritage is, in itself, a form of resistance. Although she may not do it intentionally, Gigi has definitely put Palestine and Muslim women on the map!

What are your outtakes on Gigi Hadid’s post? Does she deserve all this hate or should she be appreciated on her outcome to tackle the lack of cultural diversity in the fashion world?
