While The World Sees Only Bombs in Iraq, These Entrepreneurs Are Shaping the New Economy of Kurdistan

In tune with the Global Entrepreneurship Week that is taking the world by storm this November, Startup Weekend Erbil kicks off this Saturday 20 in the region of Kurdistan, introducing for the first time Erbil’s young entrepreneurs to the global community by becoming part of Global Startup Battle (GSB).

The event will take place on November 20 in the Cultural & Social Center of Salahaddin University, in Erbil, introducing coaches such as Lara Fatah, co-founder of the first PR and Strategic Communications Agency in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Zanraw Consulting.

Among the participants, the event will feature young pioneers such as Mohammed Al-Samarrai, co-founder of the internet startup Easy Bites, and Hallo Azad, who co-founded Indigo, an advertising and marketing company based in Slemani whih, made its mark on Kurdish markets representing renowned international and local companies.
