Michael Jackson’s “We are the world” never sounded so sweet. But it’s the significance of its context and the bravery of its singers that makes this video as special as it can be.

These are the children of Palestine, not the daughters of war drawing pity tears in our eyes, but the jaw-dropping voices of young girls who transform their inner strength into mesmerizing tones. Amid images of destruction, they raise their voice as a sweet reminder that humanity will remain imperishable in spite of power struggles.

“Some of us chose to sit right there and watch people getting killed. But we never chose to do that, so we decided to make this video“, says one of the girls. Identified as Palestine To The World, these young artists from Gaza are planning to make more videos to spread their heartfelt resistance to the world.
