Born to Egyptian parents in Manhattan, New York, Karim discovered his love for acting at the age of 7. From then on, he strove to become a famous actor. He landed major roles in several school plays and moved on to take part in bigger projects and even films. Not only can Karim act, but he can also sing! Some plays and musicals he has worked on are Spiderman, Anything Goes, Brigadoon and In the Blood. On his youtube channel, AreWeFamousNow, that he started in 2005, Karim tackles many issues concerning religion and he does so in a comedic manner. A few of his videos have received worldwide coverage such as Blind Muslim Trust Social Experiment and Would You Date A Muslim and as of January 2016, his video 10 Hours of Walking in NYC as a Woman in Hijab has reached over 10 million views.

This young man has also collaborated with other famous Youtubers such as Ryan Higa and was a part of the channel ‘3MH’ along with other comedians. As if this isn’t already enough, Karim has his own gaming channel that goes by the name of KuKuBUFF. Karim’s dream to become famous has long been achieved but this doesn’t make him stop what he’s doing. This Egyptian inspiration shines a light on religion and society in an entirely different way and he entertains Arabs and Non-Arabs from all over the world. As for his personal interests, according to his Facebook page, Karim likes kabab.

I was born in Palestine but raised with the fireflies in Georgia. My teenage years were spent being the Muslim nerd who was known as the bookworm of the school. That followed me back to Palestine, to develop into being the girl with the big vocabulary. I spent most of my high-school days cursing Newton for not eating that apple. My English Literature Bachelor's degree was only obtained because I'm a nerd for literature and my minor in Translation pretty much pays the bills, thank you Birzeit University.Creative writing is my passion and reading is my escape from reality into a world where everything is the way you imagine it to be.
