Save the Children collaborated with several youth centers active within the Zaatari refugee camp in Jordan to produce an uplifting, optimistic video along to the tune of Mohammed Assaf’s recent song ASSAF360 “Yala Yala”. Corresponding with both the World Cup festivities and World Refugee Day, which was June 20th, the video reminds us of the true resilience of humanity. Despite their living circumstances, the video portrays the children as they dance, celebrate their favorite football teams and sing along to a song that celebrates unity, strength and triumph over adversity.

Filmed in Zaatari camp, the video displays different aspects of life within the camp. Boys dance along to the song in one of their custom-built gym spaces, or play in the camps expansive market area as they hold up signs with lyrics like “One Heart, One Love”.
