Fresh off his performance at the opening ceremony of the 64th FIFA Congress, Mohammad Assaf will soon be releasing his much-anticipated new album, ASSAF.

With this new album, Assaf is venturing into new territory with a different genre though unique collaborations, powerful lyrics and beautiful arrangements. Many unique artists from across the Arab world are also contributing to ASSAF, including Egyptian composer Mohammad Rahum (who has written two songs: Away Haghani and Mtfareen), award-winning director Jac Mulder (who will be directing the first music video for the album) and the legendary Melhem Barakat (with the song Shou Betkhabrouna).

Mohammad Assaf, of course, rose to fame after his win on the second season of Arab Idol. Since then, he has not only gathered a massive following and entertain millions with his love songs and traditional Palistinian hymns, but he has also become the first UNWRA Regional Youth Ambassador for Palestinian refugees, and is a true symbol of hope and perseverance for the Palestinian people.

You can check out the promo for his new album in the video below:

What do you think about Mohammad’s career? Will you buy his new album?
