Egypt Design, Fashion & Architecture The Arts Uncategorized 15 Smiles by Valentina Primo 12/12/2014 Organized by Innovation platform Innoventures and the Mideast Creatives program, the Disrupt Design Ideathon took place last December 4 in Cairo, giving creative entrepreneurs an opportunity to incorporate dynamic business modelling techniques. Animated education, a hub for graphic designers, and eco-friendly design clothes where some of the business ideas elaborated by the passionate participants during the three-day ideathon. Mentors circled around the groups, including Dutch artist-in-residence Joran Koster.
“There is a lot of talent in the room. I hope to add some playfulness,” he said. The Disrupt ideathons specifically target creative entrepreneurs in the early idea stage of the bussiness cycle.
The competition winners, Ali el Zibaq, The hot box, and 4Plus4, beat the nearly 80 other participants who worked with the trainer and mentors to mature their ideas, develop a full business model canvas, and craft a perfect pitch.
