Palestine , Syria , Cross-border Business NGOs, Nonprofits & Charities 19 Smiles by Valentina Primo 04/12/2014 Thinking globally but acting locally, there is an organization that promises holiday gifts can have a longer lifespan in the Middle East. Entitled #Gift4Life , the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF)’s holiday campaign allows individuals to give the gift of a donation in the name of a beloved one for the benefit of refugee children in Gaza and Syria. Based in Amman, the organization has been treating injured children in Palestine and Syria since 1991.
The campaign, launched on November 3, allows the sender to choose whether their donation will be directed to relief efforts in Gaza, to assist Syrian refugees living in Lebanon, or the The Huda Al Masry Pediatric Cancer Center, in the West Bank. Purchasing PCRF gift cards is also a chance to generate awareness and engage friends, family and colleagues in good causes, the organization states, while instilling a sense of responsibility in youth to build the next generation of supporters. For more information: Visit PCRF’s donations page and follow them on Facebook.
