Different areas in the strip get only about six hours of electricity per day , with the schedule varying from day to day. So each night, somewhere on the strip you will always find kids doing their homework on the streets –next to a shop with a generator, or by a lit-up mosque or even a gas station.

For though the siege may stop many things that are essential for healthy growth, it cannot stop the Palestinian will for education.
