But for the young researcher, this is not the first time she pioneers the scientific field : She was the first and only Saudi woman to join the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), and the first Saudi female PhD holder to work in the National Center for Mathematics and Physics in King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). Specialized in Astrophysics, Medical Physics and Nuclear Physics, Badhrees startles the academic field with two PhD, not only in physics but also in International Relations, which she obtained at the Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations.
