Lebanon Discovery Environment Lifestyle Sustainable Design 1 Smile Ecovillage by Sarah Alkawas 30/06/2013 Ecovillage is an ecotourist’s dream! Located in the Dmit Valley on the Damour River in Shouf, Lebanon, Ecovillage provides visitors with organic agriculture, alternative workshops, vegetarian meals, hiking, swimming in the river, and camping in huts. I visited Ecovillage last year with my friend when we wanted to escape the city to this lush green valley in the south.

I attended a workshop held by a Raiki master about forgiveness, which included lunch, a meditation session, an art expression session, and a group discussion. I took a tour of the grounds and felt like my troubles were melting away as I walked by the river and sat down, sipping my delicious homemade lemonade, and reading a book. A relaxing stones throw away from Beirut, this experience is not to be missed by those seeking a return to nature , with a guilt-free experience.
