354 Smiles Tunisia might not be the first thing that jumps to mind when we think about aircraft manufacturing countries. But believe it or not, twins from Tunisia have established two aircraft companies and are now exporting lightweight planes to countries all around the world! The two twin brothers, Ferid and Fouad Kamel, have dreamt of becoming pilots since their early childhood.
Ferid grew up to become a pilot, whereas Fouad became an IT engineer; only for the two to unite again and enter the aircraft manufacturing sector. In 2012, the brothers launched their first aircraft company, Avionav , supported by the Tunisian Academic Research Institutes. This company now manufactures and market 3 two-seater aircraft models around the world.

In 2016, Ferid and Fouad launched another company in the same field called Evada Aircraft. This company is more focused on the construction of amphibian aircraft. The Evada A4 is a lightweight plane with an interior space that contains 4 seats and an ability to land on water, land and snow.

With a creative team, the Kamel brothers were able to construct planes according to the aeronautical standards and to later export them to countries around the world including America, Spain, Australia, Italy, France and 30 other countries. Against all odds these Tunisian brothers made the sky theirs!
