Vyu simplifies the process of finding this information, and allows Middle Eastern viewers to talk about their favorite shows from their smartphones, which is a huge plus.
This is why the Jabbar Internet Group from Jordan led a round to secure $825,000 for Vyu to bring it to the MENA region. “People are really hungry to express themselves,” Vyu CEO Ahmed Nassef told Built in Los Angeles. “People like to share their views about their favorite programs.
Ahmed Nassef was previously head of Arabic web portal Maktoob , as well as the MENA region’s managing director of Yahoo! The app will be written in Arabic, and will be available on iOS and Android systems, and is expected to be launched in the next several months, in the US and the Middle East at the same time.
