Zaina and Rania left the corporate world and co-founded Ananasa , to fulfill their dream and that of many aspiring artists, designers and crafts people. Through this online marketplace, Ananasa is providing these artisans with an opportunity to sell their work in “a hassle free way to reach the entire world with no obstacles,” says Zaina.

They are “building potential businesswomen and businessmen from this region,” adds Zaina, by helping them develop their online presence and business acumen. The idea behind Ananasa was born after Zaina tried to sell her work in Dubai, a world away from the “big street art culture” of Montreal where she used to live, paint and display her work. She found that the “galleries and the art scene here was for the established artists, and there were no venues for the aspiring as such.” We can happily say that this is no longer the case.
