“Who said that the Palestinians do not love life? They do. Look at these photos: a group of women had the idea of coloring the rockets of Gaza harbor. They made it more cheerful and fascinating,” says Abdalhadi Alijla, a young researcher from Gaza currently based in Sweden.
Launched by the TAMER Institute for Community Education, the initiative invites entrepreneurs and art enthusiasts to paint rubble parts and and rocks at the port and different areas of Gaza City, drawing graffitis on the walls together with a group of fishermen and women. “The people of Gaza, despite everything, are teaching the world lessons in loving life, defending themselves, refusing radicalism, showing love, and having dignity,” says Alijla.
