They made it more cheerful and fascinating,” says Abdalhadi Alijla , a young researcher from Gaza currently based in Sweden. Launched by the TAMER Institute for Community Education , the initiative invites entrepreneurs and art enthusiasts to paint rubble parts and and rocks at the port and different areas of Gaza City, drawing graffitis on the walls together with a group of fishermen and women. “The people of Gaza, despite everything, are teaching the world lessons in loving life, defending themselves, refusing radicalism, showing love, and having dignity,” says Alijla.
