In a traditional society like Yemen, women reject the idea of being photographed. For the majority of Yemeni women photography is about exposing and revealing, and that is certainly not welcomed.

Therefore, I find it difficult to photograph women in streets and are practicing their daily life. This woman was the first Yemeni woman who came to me and requested me to take her photo.
