Meet Gino Kelly, the latest addition to the Irish Parliament. On February 27, 4629 votes got this 42 yr old man a seat in the Parliament. In celebration of his victory, new Irish MP Gino Kelly raised the Palestinian flag!

Kelly has been following up on the Palestinian issue for years, and in this proud moment of his, he chose to raise their flag. Gino supports the Palestinian cause as well as the people of Palestine, and one of his goals as a member of Parliament is to work as hard as possible towards ending the blockade on Gaza.

Kelly is from an area called Neilstown, which happens to be one of the most deprived areas in Ireland. He is a member of The People Before Profit/Anti-Austerity Alliance and this win makes him the first Teachta Dála, member of the Irish Parliament, from that area!

Show your support by leaving a smile 🙂 !

Israa Elkhatib

I was born in Palestine but raised with the fireflies in Georgia. My teenage years were spent being the Muslim nerd who was known as the bookworm of the school. That followed me back to Palestine, to develop into being the girl with the big vocabulary. I spent most of my high-school days cursing Newton for not eating that apple. My English Literature Bachelor's degree was only obtained because I'm a nerd for literature and my minor in Translation pretty much pays the bills, thank you Birzeit University.Creative writing is my passion and reading is my escape from reality into a world where everything is the way you imagine it to be.
